Adventures in Iced Matcha

Hey, guess what? Summer's here, and that means one thing—iced drinks! I've been totally obsessed with Starbucks' iced matcha latte lately, so I thought, why not make it at home? Sounds easy, right? Well, let me tell you about my hilarious adventure in the kitchen.

First off, I couldn't find any matcha powder anywhere in my kitchen. I looked everywhere—cabinets and drawers, shelves and snack pantries. All I found was this weird green tea stuff that just wouldn't turn into powder no matter how much I blended it. So, guess what I did next? Yep, I ordered some

Jade Leaf Matcha powder and their starter set online. (Here are the links, just in case you're curious!)

After what felt like forever, the packages finally arrived. I was so excited—I mean, who wouldn't be? I grabbed the matcha powder and starter set and got to work right away. I mixed and whisked and added stuff until I thought it was just right. But when I took that first sip— it was a total letdown. It was basically just vanilla creamer with a hint of something green.

But hey, I'm not a quitter. The next morning, I tried again. This time, I used a bit less water, a bit more matcha powder, and kinda guessed on the milk and creamer. And you know what? It worked! I made this awesome iced matcha latte that was creamy and frothy, just like from a fancy coffee shop.

Oh, and I even tried frothing some milk separately and added a big fluffy dollop on top. It was like a café masterpiece! So there you have it—my funny, kinda messy journey to making the perfect iced matcha latte. I can't wait to try making more cool drinks next time!
